Book Launch Par-tay!!!!!

First I'd like to thank Days of the Dead, Black Bed Sheet Books, Jim Sorfleet of sNs photography and Master Ron Fitzgerald for making this Book Launch particularly SPECTACULAR!!!

Jim will be there with a table set-up, Ron will be there at Kitty Zom's table and officially at mine from 2-3 P.M. Saturday to sign the cover he posed for. Don't even tray to complain that it's too far to come as I'll be driving/swimming up from Mississippi. ;D

I'll have copies of my Bram Stoker Short-listed Never Ceese republished through Black Bed Sheet Books as well as hard to find (unless they're stolen and being sold as new. Thanks Amazon, you so rock (yeah, that's sarcasm) copies of Forever Richard which BBS plans to republish later this year or early next year. ;)

So as we say here in the good ol' south, "y'all come!"

The song has been sung, the pose has been picked.

For those paying attention you'll recall that I'd solicited Master Ron Fitzgerald to be the cover model for my new novel (I know I said solicited) through Black Bed Sheet Books, Electric Angel. I'm happy to announce that after one interesting trip to Chicago, where I learned the difference between Chicago PROPER and Chicago Heights, I have settled on the image I want to use. Said image is now off to Nicholas Grabowsky, creator of Black Bed Sheet Books who will in turn work his magic.

This photo was shot by Jim Sorfleet of sNs photography a master himself and the cover model is none other than Master Ron Fitzgerald, a master by trade. Sheer talent. That's all it is. And now the image I've chosen.

Just to show you how screwed up it all is.

I found this on the Smashwords site after my book was approved for premium distribution. What a bunch of bull. Here's what it said:

NOTE: Per the rules of the International ISBN agency, you CANNOT use the same ISBN for your print book as you do for your ebook.
Bowker and the Int'l ISBN agency say each ebook format should have it's own unique ISBN, so if you previously attached an ISBN to your PDF or Kindle version, you should assign a new one to your EPUB version here. If our retail partners or Bowker (the U.S. ISBN registrar) report back to Smashwords that you have supplied us an already-issued ISBN associated with a different book, your book may be pulled from the Premium Catalog. If you supply us your own ISBN, it is your responsibility to register this ISBN with your country's ISBN registrar.

There's nothing accurate about this. Not one thing. All it stands to do is confuse anyone new to publishing. It doesn't matter one bit what Bowker wants. NOT ONE BIT! Amazon doesn't require a ISBN for any kindle you do through them and in fact could care less if you use one. They assign their own funky number and it ain't no ISBN. Bowker doesn't touch them because it doesn't matter. Smashwords will give you a free one but then says it doesn't mean anything. So why worry with it? Each e-book format should not and does not need a separate ISBN. It's the same damn book. Just thought I drop that out there.
