Great Googley Moogley!
I didn't blog about this yet!!! Well I don't know why. After all it is one of the biggest honors for me so far, to be asked to speak at a chapter of my home states Writer's Guild (even if it was a dear, close friend who asked and I probably never would have been asked otherwise.) Thank-you Ms. Jamie O'quinn! You sooo rock!

Don't buy from Amazon!!!!!
Well, at least don't buy Never Ceese the hardback from Amazon. These books would be books provided by the now defunct Journey Stone Creations who kept/stole over 200 of books owed to me for website work before clandestinely liquidating over 5000 of Never Ceese to the open market AFTER paying no attention to the offer I made them for my books which was more than the liquidator offered.
Whatever.
Anyway, the hard copies of Never Ceese that Amazon is selling are Journey Stones and they are charging, get this, over $14.00 for a book that everyone else is selling for $2 to $3. I don't get money either way but for the love of God please save yourself a dollar or two. I already got screwed. You don't need to get screwed as well.
Bottom line, please buy the paperback version. ;)I see all of that money.

New Review of Forever Richard--sort of!
Latest reader of Never Ceese to leave an Amazon review has now finished Forever Richard. Here's what she had to say on my FaceBook page:
Also just finished up an e-mail interview for the Vampire Film Festival. I'll be there on the Literary Panel-"Why women right "bloody" good vampire fiction!" OCT 30 with a table set up for Black Bed Sheet Books next to Gabrielle Faust. Can't get cooler than that!!!
Am recharging battery now from phone/newspaper interview given by Jamie Oquinn (5)LOL in respect to my speaking October 2 at the Mississippi Writer's Guild.
Still trying to get to the "Mr. Hush" Convention in PA the weekend before Halloween as well!!!
Off I go! Wheeeeee!!
I loved Forever Richard!!! That line from Richard when he says "Mama" pretty much says it all. I predict that Penelope is evil. Great read!!! When is the 3rd installment coming out? I need My Richard fix!!! Loved it!!

Here. Let me explain Amazon to you. ;)
So if you go to order Never Ceese the paperback which is now being distributed through S D Enterprise (me) via LSI (a POD printer) you will see this: Only 1 left in stock.
I know, right? Makes no sense. NOBODY STOCKS POD published books. You did hear me didn't you? And Never Ceese is non-returnable at that and they sure as heck-fire won't order those kind of POD printed books UNLESS there is already an order for them.
Does it help me, the author, when Amazon puts something so stupid on the ad for my book? No. Not really. Makes it look like they treat POD printed, Self-pubbed authors the same as all other traditionally published authors when they don't. Amazon doesn't have any of my books in stock to even have one left and neither do any of the other retailers who say they have 100 copies etc . . .
POD printed books are only EVER ordered when an order is placed ESPECIALLY ones that are made non-returnable by the author to avoid having their work stolen by distributors. ;)
Just wanted to let you know that in case you thought I was "selling out" at Amazon. They're just stupid, that's all and once again giving out false information for reasons I can't even fathom. Just don't want anyone thinking they treat self-pubbed authors any differently than they ever did. *Sue snickers to self.* One book in stock. Really? Gee you think I'd know about that since I know EXACTLY how many books have been sold. Idiots!

Yeah! I'd say these guys are crazy but they probably wouldn't be able to pull this off if they weren't!!!

And so it begins. Authors Steve Lockley and Steven Savile now have 24 hours to come up with a story, 7-8,000 words in length, edited, proofed and delivered. OF TIME & DUST is set in a Victorian country manor, Birkin House, in Dorchester...home of Roman history, Thomas Hardy...and a past suicide in the grounds.
Steve Lockley and I have agreed to do something that may turn out to be completely foolish. Tomorrow at 12 noon (UK time) a title and cover art for a proposed chapbook will be revealed by Neil Jackson. We haven't seen it and won't until then. We will write a story inspired by this cover. It will be PUBLISHED in 24 hour...
Yeah! I'd say these guys are crazy but they probably wouldn't be able to pull this off if they weren't!!!

Non Amazon review
***Update***
Non-Amazon review turned into a 5 star Amazon review. Gotta love that!
*************
Most of my readers won't post on Amazon but rather just send their thoughts of appreciation to me. Love it!! Keeps me writing you know. So here are a few words from a new fan who will be buying Forever Richard from me until Black Bed Sheet Books comes out with the Special Edition copy later next year. So with out further ado:
Sue,
You have left me with so many questions, why is Richard and Ceese's father a vampire now? Penelope is not dead- she is a vampire again? And is she Richard's love interest or is there something going on between Cassie and Richard- or does only Cassie want something to be going on. So Richard and Ceese are "normal" but they could become cursed again? I like it, you are an excellent author. Ceese seems like a sweet character.
Make sure you send me your address and who to make the check out to. Have a great week!
Your friend, Susanne Lafaye
Love that so many of my bigger fans are named Susan, Suzanne or some variation thereof. ;D
Love all my fans and soon to be fans. You are what keeps me writing. Okay, I'd write anyway but you give me purpose. ;)

Check it out!
I have a writer friend (and blessed to call him a friend) who has put together a blog to help those seeking to be published. He made me a contributor . . . for now. Jump over and read all he has to say and then read my contribution before he decides to retract his offer to have me contribute. LOL
Here's the link.
Good stuff here to be sure.

Sue Dent to speak at MS Writers Guild
Don't miss this if you're in the area! ;D
Main Street Books - Hattiesburg Mississippi
October 2, 2010
2:00 P.M.
Do keep in mind when the label Christian vampire series is used with my work it means that my work appeals to those readers who favor reading work targeted for a specific belief system. It doesn't mean that I'm published by fee-paying, discriminitive "Christian" publishers. I'm not. They don't put out work like mine as they don't feel their core market readers are interested in horror. Well, at least not unless it's targeted, watered-down and not horror at all.
Fancy that!!! ;D
So very excited that this is being held at an INDEPENDENT Bookstore and not a larger chain store who is only in business to provide larger publishers with a store front--PERIOD!! YAY!!!!
Hope to see you there.
And thank you MS Writers Guild (specifically Jamie O'quinn) for the opportunity. What will I talk about? Why whatever I fancy of course! ;D

"Author Sue Dent will be guest speaker at the October 2 meeting of the Hattiesburg Chapter of the MS Writers Guild. "Never Ceese" was the American Christian Fiction Writers Asso. club choice of the month of May 2007 and also 2007 Bram Stoker short-listed for Superior Achievement in a First Novel. HorrorFind 2010 - Aftermath

Awww, it was great! Picked Nicholas Grabowsky up in Memphis to continue the trek to Nashville where the following day we met up with Two-Foot Fred, Nicks got pics of that but Fred was great. He talked about a reality show he was going to be in called Two Foot Six! One of Black Bed Sheet Books new authors, Jeremy Jaynes grew up with Fred and that was interesting to hear about too. Really enjoyed meeting Fred.
Next stop Gettysburg where I got to meet up with lots of old writer friends, Kim Paffenroth who actually drove this time if I'm not mistaken but not nearly as far. HA! And met quite a few new friends. Quite a few pics to post and the Black Bed Sheet Books meet and greet went well. Of course the party went better but parties have a way of doing that. ;D
Francy of Francy and Friends did a live blogtalk radio show during the party and Nick and co-host Jason Gelhert were able to get quite a few celebrities including Edward X. Young or Mr. Hush of Mr. Hush the movie soon to be released (hoping to go to that convention the weekend before the Vampire Film Festival,) Jake Busey, Dee Yoder (I think that's her last name) or rather the mom from E.T.! She looks just like she did in the movie too. Oh yeah and Sue F*@ing Dent!!! LOL You had to be there. But oh wait, you can be. Just listen to the broadcast here!
And now without further delay pics and things of what you missed if you didn't come. ;)

My favorite Zombie author and good friend Mr. Kim Paffenroth! Great picture Kim (and Jason Gelhert who took it.) ;D

I got to meet Gary Busey. Jake was on the show.

Black Bed Sheet Books meets the Duct Tape Alien.

Nicholas Grabowsky and Jason!
Video of Nicholas with Duct Tape Alien. Listen close at the end and you'll hear her say that she spent $100 dollars on duct tape.

Me with Bill Mosely from Repo the Genetic opera. This was for my daughter. Bill threatened to whistle that whistle to bring the monsters. It's a long story. LOL

Me with Nivek Ogre. Another picture for my daughter who LOVES Repo.

A prospective new fan! Thanks Pam!
